Recreation

The Kirby Woods recreation ministry seeks to provide an opportunity for our members and guests to enjoy sports and other fun activities in a Christian environment. We try to put our athletic teams in Christian leagues. We want to focus on teaching good attitudes and fundamentals. Not only do we have sports,we also try to provide activities that involve the whole family, such as picnics and game nights.

Basketball
Men: Registration for the Men's league is November 16-30 (KWBC members first choice). The season begins in December with a break for the holidays and then resumes in January. The tournament will be in February, which concludes the season. Games take place at Kirby Woods on Mondays at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., or 9 p.m. Please stop by the church office to register, and register early since there are limited spaces.

Karate
We are excited to offer Karate at Kirby Woods! Robert Blackstone is our instructor. Not only is Robert teaching karate, he is presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ and as a result has seen many professions of faith. The classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays with beginners at 6pm and advanced students immediately afterward. All classes are held in the Fellowship Hall. Zumba
Zumba is a Latin music based dance/exercise class. It is an all over body workout that not only gives you cardio but also great toning and core workouts. No experience is required except a desire to have fun. You can move at your own pace and skill level but don't be surprised when you see how quickly you become stronger. Join us for a fun filled hour in a “ladies only” class.

Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m. taught by Rachel Hetherington
Classes are $3/class or you can buy a 10-punch card for $25.
