Brinkley Heights has a need for volunteers to work with their clothing ministry. Every second Tuesday of the month families can come and select clothing. They need 2 ladies to help them make selections and minister to the families. They also need volunteers to come occasionally to help sort and hang donated clothing. One by One Ministries trains mentors and prayer partners to minister to mothers during a pregnancy and the first year of the baby’s life. There is an ongoing need for mentors and prayer partners at Kirby, as well as $5 gift cards to Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree or Hobby Lobby. A Way Out (sponsored by Citizens for Community Values of Memphis, Inc. aka CCV) is a ministry to help women coming out of the adult entertainment industry. Below are a few of the things A Way Out volunteers do, followed by a list of needs:
- bring meals Tuesday nights for the women, children and mentors who attend Growth Group;
- provide transportation to counseling, doctors, school, work, etc. for the women who do not have vehicles;
- bring clothes for the AWO Clothes Closet for women and children;
- lead Bible studies for the women or provide childcare for the children;
- serve as mentors to women, loving them and showing them what it means to live a Christ-centered life.
- Needed: dishwashing liquid (hand), liquid laundry detergent, dryer sheets, bleach, toilet tissue, Tampons and Kroger gift cards.

Brinkley Heights can use gently read Christian magazines and devotionals such as: Decision, HomeLife, Focus on the Family, In Touch, Mature Living, Our Daily Bread, Stand Firm, Journey, Today's Christian Woman, Christian Parenting, Open Windows, Christian Single, etc. They cannot use secular magazines such as Reader's Digest, Ladies Home Journal, Good Housekeeping, etc.
Christian Library International is an organization that distributes used Christian books to prisons, shelters, and international missions. Needed items (new or used) are Bibles, Christian books and/or music tapes, sermon tapes, CDs, DVDs, video tapes, Bible study materials, tracts. Send your donations to:
