Purpose Statement: The purpose for Equipping “U” is (1) to help equip the church through teaching and discipling using a biblically based curriculum and (2) to provide practical training both for the members of Kirby Woods Baptist and as a ministering evangelical outreach to our community.

The following classes will begin on Sunday, August 15 at 5:00 p.m.
 

Praying Scriptures for Your Children (led by Cindy Snider) - S213

In this increasingly complex, turbulent world, you don't know what the future holds for your children, nor can you control it (even though we try). But as a mother there is something you can do ( Room mom? join PTA?). You can Pray! Your prayers are your most potent weapon in the battle for your children's destinies. God hears the prayers of ordinary mothers- even when you are doing laundry, taking a shower or shuttling kids across town to a soccer match!  This 6 week class will draw you closer to God, teach you relevant scriptures to pray for your children and equip you to make a difference in the lives of your children.

Spanish for Missions (led by Ximena Barahona)  Rm. S303

Come learn the basics of conversational Spanish.  This class will enable anyone to better converse in the Spanish speaking culture not only at home but abroad as well.  Invest your time by attending - especially if you desire to travel on one of our mission journeys to a Spanish speaking country. 

Stewardship That Honors God (led by Richard Carman) - S306

Christians are not immune from tough financial questions and decisions. The challenge is finding answers that will bring honor to God and serve as a witness to a lost world. We will attempt, in an open forum, to address the attitudes, fears and frustrations Christians have about finances.

Topics to include: What is the difference between worrying about finances and being responsible?  Why bother to budget, there’s not enough money anyway?  Is it scriptural to use credit cards?  Is it biblical to invest? When does investing become hoarding?
