REV. JIM COLLIER
SENIOR PASTOR

Welcome to Jim Collier as our new Senior Pastor of Kirby Woods Baptist Church.

Pastor Jim graduated with honors from Columbus State University in Georgia with a BA in History and from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. Prior to obtaining his Masters degree, he served our nation in the U.S. Army for twelve years where he completed Ranger School and attended Officer Candidate School. He separated from the Army at the rank of Captain.

Pastor Jim has a true pastor's heart of which he states, "My goal as a pastor is to equip the saints and "unleash" them for ministry. I believe the pastor's role is to feed, lead, and guard the congregation (prayer and ministry of the Word). To that end, ministry is people. I believe it is very difficult to minister without knowing and loving people." 

Pastor Jim and his wife, Myra, have been married for fifteen years and they have two children, Rebecca and Joshua. Jim is a strong believer in having "family time" and has a special interest in equipping and praying for young fathers raising families.
